Artifacts
Page overview:
On this section, you will find artifacts that I utilized while at the school, such as schedules, official unit plans, lesson plans, and other resources.
School Background

Al-Andalus school is a primary school, and the grade levels at the school are from grade 1 to 4; boys and girls.
Mission, Vision, and Values

The school's beliefs include producing students that are highly competent in the English language.
The school's mission is to produce learners that are able to participate in future activities, whether it be in the workplace, or higher education. Their vision is to create an innovative, global community. The values that are instilled in students include citizenship, and abiding by Islamic values.
Facilities

The school has a classroom that is customized for reading purposes. A variety of books and stories can be found, including leveled readers.
Timetable

The timetable includes all teacher's schedules across various grade-levels. I used it to check whenever my mentor had class, and to plan for my own lessons.
Bridge to Success Learner's Book

The Bridge to Success learners book is designed by the Ministry of Education (MOE), in collaboration with Cambridge English. The content focuses on building the four language skills (Speaking, listening, writing, reading). The book was necessary for me to plan my lessons, because I was able to check the outcomes of each lesson, and what the area of focus was.
Official School Plans
Unit Plans:
English Language Instructional Planner
Sample Lesson Plan
Most of my lessons were planned after viewing the school's outcomes, and activity suggestions from the lesson plans. The unit plans include the main outcome linked to each domain (speaking, listening, writing, reading), while the supplementary syllabus includes the specific content that will be taught.
